AZM making an album!
I’m Angel. We are finalizing an 11 song Adult Alternative Pop Rock record featuring a power pop version of the Freddy Fender Hit, “Wasted Days and Wasted Nights.”
This album is the culmination of several years spent developing and perfecting 10 original songs and arrangements, and with your help we can launch this record into the world!
Who is Angel Zuniga Martinez?
I started my art as a love poetry writer and playing left handed acoustic guitar since 3rd grade at El Jardin in Brownsville, Texas; and have been writing songs, singing, and playing in groups ever since.
Who is involved?
Felipe Garcia – plays percussion on most of album and supports live performances.
Kyle Smith – played bass guitar on album
Robert Jericho – music producer / sound engineer / and lead guitarist on album who has worked with many local San Antonio groups and recently release his own solo project.
Maya Alicia Chavez – sings backup vocals on album
Bene Medina – played accordion on “Wasted Days and Wasted Nights” on album
Peter Bawa – plays bass guitar live with Angel
Chevon Carroll – sings backup vocals and keys on live shows with Angel
The Recording
I am humbly proud of the fruits of our labor of an almost finished, high quality product, which reflects how insanely blessed I am to connect with folks like Felipe, Kyle, Robert, Bene, Peter, Carroll and all the other talented, creative and hardworking musicians that have helped make this record possible and perform with me live.
What will we do once the Angel Zuniga Martinez album is finished?
I have been dedicated to music and art since almost my conception, and I am very invested in the success of this record and its message.
I will send the finished project to various music reviewers, plan a tour that will help promote the record, and more.
Our goal is to raise only $1,120, and we need your help!
We are already in the midst of making this record a reality, and while I have been able to afford most of the financial burden myself, there are still many outstanding costs, including:
- final studio / engineering fees
- musician, mechanical and streaming licensing fees
- mixing/mastering
- CD printing
- publicity and promotions
- first video production of “Wasted Days and Wasted Nights”
- all the other bells and whistles that go along with a project like this.

Risks and challenges
Although there may exist unforeseen risks and challenges for completion of this project, all the 11 songs on the album have already been recorded, mixed, mastered and the uploaded content is pending final approval for printing and duplication at Disc makers, an established full service CD replicator.
The indie music video for the Wasted Days and Wasted Nights single of the album is more complicated and filled with higher unforeseen risks; however, Angel has produced and directed over 100 quality short video productions on a shoe string budget.
